Program Dates: July 13th through July 27th, 2024 (15 days)
Are you an organized, responsible, and self-starter person? We are looking for individuals who possess these qualities to join the Hosting Committee in the capacity of Program Co-Planners. The Co-Planners will work collaboratively to coordinate and plan the Fortnight Program that the CISV New York chapter will host in the Summer of 2024.
The Role of Co-Planner(s)
As a Co-Planner, you will have the opportunity to work with chapter members who have experience hosting international programs. You will be expected to attend monthly training calls where information and materials needed to plan a CISV program will be provided. Additionally, you will work closely with the chosen Camp Director.
Skills and Responsibilities of Co-Planner(s)
As a Co-Planner, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Balancing and updating the program budget (we have one started).
- Ensuring forms and documents are compiled and filed on time. This includes assisting the Camp Director and Staff in producing pre-camp documents and sending pre-camps to all invited participants by the deadlines set forth in the International Program Guides. The Chapter's volunteer graphic designer is available to help with pre-camps.
- Attending monthly calls.
- Working with NY Chapter Subcommittees to delegate tasks.
- Collaborating with the Camp Director in developing the program calendar.
- Booking transportation (we have worked with one company previously).
- Coordinating one excursion for 30 people.
- Serving as the Chapter contact person, particularly if the director is from outside the Chapter.
- Working with the local Health Department as needed.
- Visiting the program site occasionally.
- Being available for any crisis that occurs (in collaboration with the Risk Manager).
