Would you like to use your creativity and leadership skills to keep CISV NY members engaged?
Look no further than CISV NY's Membership Committee!
Tasks vary and you can take on as much or as little as you want. Here are some of the positions you may hold:
- Event Organizer: Organize a get-together for Chapter members. It could be a picnic in a park, or perhaps you have access to an interesting cultural institution and would like to organize a tour for Chapter members, or you'd like to plan a cultural activity. You can do it once a year, or as many times as you'd like! The Chapter has some standing events that you could help organize as well. We are happy to show you the ropes.
- Database Manager: Maintain the Chapter's database ensuring that our member roster is up-to-date.
- Community Service Liaison: Organize a community service activity for Chapter members.
- Park Permit Coordinator: Responsible for scheduling park permits with the NYC Parks Department.
As a member of the Membership Committee, you will have the opportunity to develop strategies for attracting new members, plan and host events to keep current members engaged, and promote the mission and values of CISV NY to the wider community.
Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or just starting out, there's a place for you on the CISV NY membership committee. CISV NY is committed to promoting peace education and intercultural understanding, and by helping to grow and support our membership, you'll be championing these important goals.
Please email vicepresidentny@cisvusa.org if you are interested in becoming a Membership Committee member.
