CISV New York is seeking passionate, responsible, and empathetic Leaders to represent our chapter at 2026 local, national, and international programs. As a CISV Leader, you’ll guide a delegation of four youth participants through a transformational educational experience—one that builds global friendship, cultural understanding, and peace through hands-on learning.
Who We’re Looking For
Ideal candidates are:
- Age 21+ by June 2026
- Passionate about education, human rights, diversity, sustainable development, and conflict resolution
- Strong in risk management, mediation, and communication
- Culturally competent, adaptable, and inclusive
- Energized by working with curious, motivated youth and a diverse global community
What You’ll Do
Leaders play a vital role in shaping safe, meaningful experiences. Responsibilities include:
- Designing and leading small and large group activities
- Preparing youth delegates and families for international travel
- Attending Leader Training and a local minicamp
- Acting as a guardian for four U.S. delegates throughout the program
- Collaborating with staff and international leaders to deliver impactful peace education

Time Commitment:
January–July 2026: training sessions, minicamp, delegate meetings, prep calls, and 2–4 weeks participating in a summer program (Village, Youth Meeting, or Step Up) shown in the Program Invitations list.
Many CISV Leaders go on to careers in international organizations, education, nonprofit leadership, and global development.
