Ready to Lead!
We are looking for passionate, responsible, and empathetic individuals to lead delegations in international peace education programs in the Summer or Winter of 2025.
CISV New York is looking for candidates who are:
- At least 21 years old by June 2025
- Passionate about human rights, diversity, sustainable development, and conflict and resolution
- Responsible with strong instincts for risk management
- Culturally competent
- Have a positive, inclusive attitude
- Enjoy working with curious, talented kids and teenagers
Responsibilities:
- Preparing youth delegates for their international program in the Summer
- Attending both Local and Regional leader training
- Acting as the guardian for the delegates from the U.S.
- Working with camp staff and other delegation leaders to execute activities related to peace education, following CISV's guidelines
CISV provides:
- All food, travel, and housing related to the program as well as an honorarium
- Multiple trainings in order to prepare delegation leaders to successfully run programs
- Professional development workshops
- Ongoing support before, during, and after the program
- Opportunities to meet and network with professionals in the NYC metro area

CISV alumni have gone on to work at major international human rights organizations, start their own companies and nonprofits, enhance their teaching skills, enter graduate programs at top-tier schools, including Columbia and Dartmouth, and much more.

Application timeline for Summer and Winter programs of 2025:
- Applications and references are due by January 24th
- Interviews (virtual format) done on January 25th
- Program selection notices will be sent by January 31st
- Family Orientation and Programs Meeting will be held in February-March
