Position Overview
The CISV New York Chapter is seeking a licensed medical professional to serve as the Camp Health Supervisor for our 15-day international Youth Meeting camp. This is a New York State (NYS) mandated role focused strictly on clinical oversight, infirmary management, and health safety compliance.
Unlike traditional camp staff roles, the Health Supervisor operates as an independent medical professional. You will manage a separate infirmary facility to execute the NYS-mandated safety plan in the event of health-related emergencies. There are no responsibilities for camp activity planning, program execution, or general youth supervision. Orientation will be provided to introduce you to the global organization and clarify how this medical role integrates with the camp.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a separate, dedicated camp infirmary
- Handle health emergencies and injuries, including emergency preparedness and provisions for professional health care, if required
- Interface with the Westchester County Department of Health
Qualifications
- Applicants must hold an active New York State license as one of the following:
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Physician Assistant (PA)
- Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Physician (MD/DO)

2. Must be FA (First Aid) and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certified.
3. Must pass a standard background check and NYS Sex Offender Registry screening.
Note on flexibility (job-sharing): This position may be shared between two applicants. If you have partial availability (e.g. one week only), please reach out to staff-NY@cisvusa.org to discuss a job-share arrangement.
Time Commitment
- On-site Program: August 2 to August 16, 2026 (live-in, 24/7; days off negotiable). See "note on flexibility" above.
- Training: 1-hour online training over Zoom and a self-paced online child safeguarding course (approximately 4 hours to complete)
