The CISV New York Chapter is seeking a Camp Health Supervisor for our 17-day international Youth Meeting. This is a unique opportunity for a medical professional to oversee the wellbeing of a global cohort of young peace-builders. Based at a campsite in Ossining, NY, with beautiful views of the Hudson River, you will be the center of the camp's safety team, ensuring a secure and healthy environment for cross-cultural friendship to flourish.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintains campers' confidential medical history
- Oversees initial health screening of campers and daily health surveillance of camp participants
- Handles health emergencies and injuries, including emergency preparedness and provisions for professional health care
- Maintains camp's daily medical log
- Reports required incidents to local health department within 24 hours
Qualifications
Applicants must hold an active New York State license as one of the following: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician (MD/DO). Other medical-related licenses may be accepted. Please contact staff-NY@cisvusa.org to discuss.
Must be FA (First Aid) and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certified.
Note on flexibility: This position may be shared between two applicants. If you have partial availability, please reach out to staff-NY@cisvusa.org to discuss a job-share arrangement.
Time Commitment
- Training:
1) Safeguarding (Online): Self-paced course (E-Learn), due by June 30, 2026.
2) National Leadership Training (Virtual): Group training (over Zoom). Three options are available:
1st option - March 28 & 29 (must attend both days) 2nd option - April 25 & 26 (must attend both days) 3rd option - evenings of May 20, 21, 27 and 28 (must attend all four evening sessions)
3) National Staff Training (In-Person): Takes place in Detroit from Friday, June 5th, starting at 7:30pm, through Sunday, June 7th early afternoon. Airfare, lodging and training fees fully covered.
- On-site Program: July 31 to August 16, 2026 (Live-in, 24/7). See "note on flexibility" above.
