Hello CISV NY community!
We would like to introduce ourselves as the new co-presidents of CISV NY. Our names are Rodrigo Muniz and Cecilia Schiera, and we are excited to kick off another CISV year.
Rodrigo grew up as a member of the Mexico City (Mexico) chapter, and Cecilia joined the Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) chapter as a teenager. We are committed to making CISV NY an inclusive and engaging chapter with opportunities for everyone who shares our passion for CISV’s goals of peaceful conflict resolution, human rights and sustainability.
What’s happening in the next few weeks?
A picnic, a community service day, our general assembly and our Fall minicamp, just to name a few events. Reach out to us at newyork@cisvusa.org if you have any ideas and suggestions to bring our community together.
We’d love to hear from you, and this is the time to get involved because in the Summer of 2024 we will host our first Village program since 2017! Let’s prove that when it comes to creating a mind-blowing, heartwarming, and absolutely unforgettable experience, CISV NY raises the bar!
Finally, thanks to all past and current board and committee members for welcoming us as co-vice presidents last year. Your continuous support has been amazing. And thanks to all of you who are reading this and considering getting involved as committee members and board officers. You and your kids are the future, and we hope to make CISV NY stronger and better for you!
