Our current Co-Vice Presidents will become Chapter Co-Presidents in September. We are looking for one or more volunteers to become Vice President (or Co-Vice Presidents) starting in September.
In the Vice President position, you will:
- Work alongside the Chapter Co-Presidents in training to be the next Chapter President (or Co-President).
- Perform all duties of the Co-Presidents if the Co-Presidents are absent.
- Attend President’s training organized by the National Office.
- Share responsibilities for maintaining operations of the Chapter.
You might be wondering, what does a Chapter President do? Amongst other things, the Chapter President:
- Presides at executive board meetings of the Chapter.
- Attends National CISV meetings.
- Appoints Committee Chairs with the consent of other Board Officers.
The President and Vice President(s) of CISV NY play a vital role in helping to shape the future of the organization. By contributing your time, energy, and expertise, you can help CISV NY achieve its mission of promoting peace through intercultural understanding and friendship.
